On the night of October 29, around 10 p.m., a client reached out urgently — they needed a batch of handmade coasters, with video confirmation of the samples by the next day.
They had already tried several factories, but none could deliver the quality or cooperation they expected.
To be honest, handmade coasters aren’t our main product line, but since the materials fall under our apparel accessories category, we had everything we needed on hand — and more importantly, a skilled team willing to take on the challenge.
By 11:30 p.m., we improvised the first prototype using existing thread, just to outline the shape.
Early the next morning, we sent our team to the local market to purchase extra cords, steel needles, and aerosol glue guns. Within hours, three samples were ready.
However, we noticed the aerosol glue left visible white marks at the joints — not the clean finish we wanted.
After several tests, we switched to alcohol-based glue, which dries clear and smooth. It took longer — about 10 seconds per joint, with four joints per coaster — but the result was worth the extra time.
When we sent the video, the client was thrilled with the result.
They later asked for additional color options, so we prepared extra thread samples and shipped them together with the prototypes for selection.
This small project reminded us once again:
✅ Fast response matters.
✅ Attention to detail builds trust.
✅ Even if it’s not our main product, our commitment to quality never changes.
