What I Learned at Shenzhen Fashion Week About the Future of Fabric Printing

Today I visited the Shenzhen Original Fashion Source Week, where everything from ready-to-wear garments to fabrics and accessory was gathered under one roof. Many exhibitors from other provinces were participating as government-organized groups, and it was interesting to see how each region showcased its own strengths in apparel manufacturing.
In the ready-to-wear business, most of our clients prefer 100% cotton fabrics. However, cotton comes with a well-known challenge when it comes to custom prints:
the minimum order quantity is simply too high.
Traditional rotary printing machines charge around 500 RMB just for the machine setup, and the fabric MOQ is usually 1,000 meters.
This instantly blocks clients who want multiple prints but small quantities per design.
Fortunately, because we constantly visit markets, stay close to suppliers, we’ve found a great solution, some supplier have small machine to face quick return to small order.
The new-generation small printing machines can now handle:
👉 Custom prints starting from just 1 meter
Perfect for small orders, multi-colorways, and quick replenishment.
This not only lowers the entry barrier for our clients but also significantly reduces production costs while keeping flexibility high.
In apparel manufacturing, understanding fabrics is important—
but understanding and integrating the supply chain is what truly creates value.
Our goal is simple: to help clients achieve better products at better prices.
